In Evil's Fangs Beta Maxx returned to the forest to make sure his ship remained undiscovered, when Arcee and Airachnid fell from the sky. He later informed Megatron that King Atlas's time portal would not be usable for long, and left a mark in a tree to prove the future could be changed before leaving. Beta Maxx then put himself into Class 4-A and came to a history lesson held by Windblade, where he introduced himself to Lightbright. Using it to boost his power, Beta Maxx created a time portal that dragged King Atlas back to the time he came from.

Beta Maxx was convinced that they were doomed until Glyph revealed she had a temporal charge core. Unfortunately, this only succeeded in making King Atlas angrier and found himself being choked until Artillery shot the enforcer's arm off. Shooting at the Neo-Maximal, Beta then used his talent to gather oil drums around Atlas while he was fighting the other students, and then shot them, blowing them all up. Attempting to find an access terminal, Beta had his two companions stand guard, only for him to have to use his talent to save them from a crate flung by King Atlas, who had followed him through time to preserve the future. Initially mistaking her for Maelstrom, Beta Maxx then asked Tap-Out to bring him to docks only for Artillery to insist on coming along. Beta Maxx explained to him what he had been dreaming about until they were interrupted by Artillery, who had been following Tap-Out. Hiding on the school's roof, Beta Maxx flashed back to events from his time before Tap-Out woke him up. Explaining how he needed the two to hack into the school files to claim he was a student, Beta Maxx listened to the siblings argue about whether to help him or not until he saw the present day Lightbright and panicked, using his talent to make a quick getaway. Using his talent to quickly transport him and his sister Glyph to his ship, Beta Maxx explained to them the events that occured in his timeline and the mission he was on. Requiring assistance to fake a transfer to the Autobot Academy, Beta Maxx shot at Tap-Out in Beta Emergency to get his attention. In Zero to Hero Beta Maxx's time machine arrived in the present day in the Forest of Trials on Acadeimos, and he stepped out to survey his surroundings. He failed, however, and Beta successfully travelled to the past.Īt some point, Beta Maxx travelled to the Combatron War in order to acquire a cannon he believed could kill Great Convoy. The ship then pulled off its pursuit, but only because they were called off by King Atlas so he could catch the Resistance himself. Flying it through space with the other high ranking Resistance members, they went without incident until they were chased by a Galvan Empire ship for entering their territory. He agreed to travel back through time using the Sentinel Maximusin an effort to rewrite history for the better. While stationed at the ruins of the Autobot Academy on Acadeimos, Beta saw a fortress in the forest, but didn't make anything of it at the time.

He destroyed several outposts and on one occasion, faced an army led by Black Convoy. Hailing from the future where Cybertron was ruled by the tyrant Great Convoy, Beta Maxx joined up with the Resistance led by Lightbright. But his ongoing campaign against the New Cybertron Government seems localized for now, and hopefully, it stays that way. It is believed he was an associate of the reclusive Alpha Trion, and that he has access to a ship that can boost his chronokinetic powers to devastating effect, to point, where, if convinced, he could rewrite history itself with little trouble. The most notorious of the known resistance fighters, Beta Maxx is known for the destruction of several key outposts, and the marking of several sights with the message "No More".
